The GIMIKS were first conceptualized in 2023 while scribbling through a creative block in my sketcchbook. Confining a small area of a page to a qucik expression , then looking within the lines for hidden forms or what I have come to call gimks.

Commissioned by Trident Steam, a steam trap business based in New York City, to create a Business Card and Identity for the company. My approach was to replicate the free spirit of steam, exampled in the images below. To accomplish this I manipulated hand drawn patterns and in Procreate and brought them over to Illustrator.
This project went through two rounds of creative brainstorming and one revision before landing on the final design

Created for Back to the Future Day, October 21st, honoring the day Marty Mcfly bravely travelled Back in Time in the classic Film Back to the Future. Submitted to Googles Open Call for Google Doodles.

The fictitious brewery Arts and Crafts Brewing Company was a student project designing labels for beverages. Limiting my solutions to typography alone I found this project challenging and rewarding.
